BISP’s financial budget has been increased by the federal government, resulting in an increase in the quarterly Benazir Kafaalat payment from Rs10,500 to Rs13,500, effective January 2025, TV channel 24NewsHD reported.
The Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid, expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for increasing the financial budget of the BISP, which will increase the quarterly payment of the Benazir Kafaalat to Rs13,500 from January 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid said that BISP was dedicating the year 2025 to the Benazir Talent programme. Under this programme, deserving individuals will be able to earn their own jobs and stand on their own feet through a unique talent programme.
The head of BISP said that in 2025, ‘BSIP will continue to serve the underprivileged classes with honesty’.
President Rubina Khalid, Secretary Aamir Ali Ahmed, Deputy Secretary Dr Tahir Noor and other staff members also cut the New Year cake on this occasion.
