After winning a crucial toss at the historic SCG, Australia has chosen to bat first with what appears to be a respectable batting lineup. Pakistan has substituted young spinner Sufiyan Muqeem for Haseebullah while the Australians are staying the same after winning the opening match.

Due to rain, the first Twenty20 International was shortened to seven overs per side, and Australia won by a margin of 29 runs.

Toss Update:

After being crushed all over the field by Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis, Pakistan would be hopeful that their bowlers do well in this match.

Their main concern though, is their batting. If they hope to defeat the Australians, they must have a strong top order. Jake Fraser-McGurk would be the centre of attention in the Australian camp because he hasn’t scored any runs in the four games against Pakistan thus far. He is a powerful batter so it would be interesting to watch him face the Pakistani pacers in the Powerplay.

The Pakistan Playing XI team includes Sahibzada Farhan, Mohammad Rizwan (c) (wk), Babar Azam, Usman Khan, Agha Salman (vc), Irfan Khan Niazi, Abbas Afridi, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Sufiyan Muqeem.

The Australia Playing XI team are Matthew Short, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Glenn Maxwell, Tim David, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis (c), Aaron Hardie, Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis, Adam Zampa, Spencer Johnson.
