Many people in Pakistan protested against Israel’s attacks on Gaza. A huge rally happened in Karachi, Pakistan’s biggest city. Tens of thousands of people joined. They waved Palestinian flags and shouted against Israel. The protest was organized by an Islamic political party in Pakistan. People were very angry that Israel has killed over 36,400 Palestinians in Gaza since October, mostly children and women. The protest was part of the global “All Eyes On Rafah” movement against the Israeli attacks.

The Big Rally Was Organized by Islamic Party

The huge rally was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), which is Pakistan’s main Islamic political party. Thousands of women and children also joined the protest. It was part of the global “All Eyes On Rafah” movement.  

Protesters Waved Palestinian Flags  

The protesters carried Palestinian flags and signs criticizing Israel. They gathered on the major Shahrah-e-Faisal Road starting at 4pm local time from all over Karachi. It was a very hot day, but people kept joining while wearing Palestinian scarves.

Big Signs Against Israeli Killings

Some of the big signs said “Stop Genocide in Gaza” and “Salute to Hamas resistance.” A 30-meter (100 feet) long Palestinian flag was also carried to honor those killed in Gaza. Many Christians also joined the protest.

Third Major Protest This Year  

This was the third huge pro-Palestine protest in Karachi this year. Pakistan has seen many big rallies against Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

“Free Palestine!” Chants Heard  

Protesters loudly chanted “Free free Palestine” together. JI’s new leader Naeem-ur-Rehman and others formed a human chain on stage.

Israel Called Out for Killings  

Rehman accused Israel of “humiliating humanity” by bombing areas it had claimed were safe zones. He said the US was letting Israel invade Rafah by giving it deadly weapons.

Arab Leaders Also Criticized    

He criticized Arab leaders for not supporting Hamas and Palestinians, saying “they are trying to save their kingdoms” instead.

Vowed to Support Palestinians

Rehman vowed Pakistan will keep supporting Palestinians, saying “We will not leave Hamas and Palestinians alone in their just struggle.”

Israeli Attacks Background    

Israel has intensely bombed Gaza since October 7th after a Hamas attack killed 1,200 Israelis. Over 36,400 Palestinians have been killed by Israel, mostly women and children. Over 82,600 have been injured. Much of Gaza lies in ruins under an Israeli blockade.

War Crimes Case  

Israel faces genocide charges at the International Court of Justice. The court has ordered Israel to immediately halt its Rafah operation where over 1 million Palestinians had taken refuge.
