Netflix released first look of its upcoming series ‘Queen Cleopatra’, a story about Ancient Queen of Egypt. The series is narrated by Jada Pinkett Smith and written by Peres Omino and NneNne Iwuji.
Netflix shared the first look of film and it will be released on May 10, 2023. The first trailer show viewers the ancient world of Egypt, with background voice of Smith and then camera spans towards old Egypt and visuals of Great Sphinx of Giza.

The Trailer further move towards Queen Cleopatra who is accompanied by her great number of soldiers and advisors. The film is not only about a powerful queen but the challenges she faced during her reign, battles and personal struggles.

The trailer shows how Queen Cleopatra struggles to protect her people, how she worked hard to maintain her power, and manage with the weight of her legacy.
The narrator of film Jada Pinkett Smith said, “We don’t often get to see or hear stories about Black Queens, and that was really important for me, as well as for my daughter and just for my community be able to know these stories because there are tons of them”.
She added that, Queen Cleopatra is always known as overtly sexual, excessive, and corrupt head but she was a way different from this. She was a strategist, an intellect and commanding in nature. She fought for kingdom and her heritage.
The trailer got the eyes of many due to its vibrant makeup and costumes, sets and cinematography, but the complex and compelling character of Cleopatra is more fascinating and interesting to watch on Netflix series.

The film is produced by Smith, and genre falls under African Queen Docuseries. The trailer focused on important themes including Cleopatra’s influence and daring intellect.
