akshay kumar sues paresh rawal for ₹25 crore over film exit
After Paresh Rawal abruptly quit Hera Pheri 3, Akshay Kumar has taken the actor to court over damages and is demanding ₹25 crore. This is the first time in forty years that Kumar has taken legal action against another performer. Cape of Good Films issued a statement through Kumar’s company, defending their legal claim. According to the production house, Rawal received a ₹11 lakh advance when the contract was signed and did not object to the compensation plan during those initial stages of filming.
Rawal sparked concern about the visit in January 2025 by announcing it online and a formal agreement was signed in March. A formal start to the film happened in April and the founding trio returned to act as their favorite characters.
Shockingly, on May 18 Rawal told his supporters online that creative reasons were not what led to his exit from the film. Since the actor failed to continue, the production house has to take care of financial problems and adjust the film’s timeline. The production company advises that if Rawal does not pay the demanded money within seven days, they plan to file both criminal and civil actions against him.
