PTI unity
The party’s political committee dismissed claims of internal divisions or grouping within the PTI and said PTI unity was the main message. The committee said that the members were standing united behind the leadership, ideology and mission of the imprisoned former Prime Minister Imran Khan, and all leaders and workers would continue their struggle for common goals.
PTI Unity Reaffirmed After Political Committee Meeting
The overall political situation was discussed in detail, along with the treatment meted out to Imran Khan and his family, the arrest of party leaders and workers and alleged political victimisation in KPK. It also addressed terrorism and the economic problems facing the public.
Demands on Detentions, Health and Rights
The committee termed the detention of KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, the provincial assembly speaker and other parliamentarians illegal and demanded their immediate release. It also demanded full implementation of the Supreme Court’s orders on medical treatment of Imran Khan, regular updates on his health and arrangement of family visits.
The committee also sought appropriate medical facilities and family access for Bushra Bibi and condemned the arrest of Khan’s sisters. On terrorism, it said that effective and serious measures should be taken and that counter-terrorism operations should protect the citizens and not be used as a means of political victimisation.
Party Discipline and Public Relief

It stated that at this juncture discipline is very important and that any violation of party rules would be dealt with under uniform principles.
