Pakistan consolidated their grip on the West Indies on the second of the five days of the Test at Multan Cricket Stadium and had a lead of 202 in the second innings when stumps were drawn for the day. Letting it continue at 143/4, two big players Mohammad Rizwan (71) and Saud Shakeel (84) took K.O. and the partnership reached 187, and Sinclair clean bowled Saud Shakeel. He got out 16 runs shy of a much-deserved hundred, Shakeel. Pakistan’s lower order crumbled from 187-4 to 230 all out. Jomel Warrican, Sinclair, Jayden Seales, and Motie took three wickets each on the second day.
In response, the West Indies endured a difficult day being bowled out on a turning wicket against Pakistan’s spin bowlers. Sajid Khan destroyed the batting lineup, picking up four wickets in just 17 balls, and the same Noman Ali returned with a bowling figure of 5/39. Even the saving face 46 runs coming off the last wicket from Warrican 31* and Seales could only take the visitors to 137, all out. Finally, the Pakistan bowlers came into the power and Abrar Ahmed spoilt the last stand.
Pakistan started their second innings brightly as well, for the first wicket Shan Masood (52) and Muhammad Hurraira (35). Warrican dismissed Hurraira and Babar Azam (5), but Pakistan took 109 for the loss of three wickets by the end of the second session.
