PML (N) senior leader Javed Latif has committed a grave political blunder through speaking on the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) negotiation. While doing so on ARY News programme ‘KHABAR Muhammad Malick Kay Saath’, Latif shifted the controversy to remind his viewers that if the founder of PTI Imran Khan has to be released then the current government must go to jail, which makes it very clear that the political crisis is not so simple.
It has become more complex as Raoof Hasan, PTI spokesperson, disclosed that negotiation has commenced mostly with the establishment and not with the government. PTI has presented two key demands: the freeing of all political prisoners and among them Imran Khan, and the creation of a judicial committee to examine the circumstances of May 9 and November 26. Hasan pointed out that these talks are being arranged by the establishment which he said is the real power behind the scene in this country.
He also questioned the foreign pressure about PTI by asking whether there is something beneficial for those countries to get Khan out of jail. He argued it was only time that would show what other compromises could be made in order to get such support.
