Pakistan claimed their first ODI series against South Africa and the new talent Saim Ayub was praised by former cricketer Babar. The batsman was in good nick during the match and made two consecutive centuries which were effective in making Pakistan to record a 3-0 win.
In the final match of the series at Wanderers Stadium Pakistan won comprehensible victory by 36 runs after scoring 309 for loss. The Proteas were bundled out for 271 while going for the new target of 309 off 47 overs, despite catching a glimpse of brilliance through Heinrich Klaasen who came up with a sensational 81 off 43 balls. Babar Azam and current captain Mohammad Rizwan made fifties for Pakistan, which set up a decent target.
After the victory, Babar Azam congratulated Saim Ayub on Instagram and termed him as Cheetah because he is good in matches. Speaking to the journalists after the game was over, Captain Rizwan was full of pride towards the team and particularly the second ODI which he called ‘the perfect team’s game’.
