Dr. Zakir Naik Speaks to an Audience of Over 150,000 at Badshahi Mosque

Conducting an open air preaching for over 150000 people at Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, Pakistan Dr. Zakir Naik, one of the famous Islamic preacher of the modern age. The two-day programme, which was launched on September 30, was Dr. Naik’s first visit to Pakistan in 30 years. Due to the large crowd and the extensive security measures, the importance of the occasion was underlined, and millions of people all over the world watched the event online.

Unprecedented Security Measures

The Lahore police put in place tight security measures for the program that Dr. Naik was conducting. More than 1500 police officers including senior officers were used in the provision of security during the event. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran himself managed the situation, ensuring that attendees were directed properly inside the mosque.

The public also satisfied with the security measures which they have provided and all appreciated the Lahore Police. Faisal Kamran stressed that patrolling the streets with great security for the public is still the main goal of the force.

Dr. Naik’s Month-long Tour

According to the programme, Dr. Zakir Naik will be on a one month tour in Pakistan. He also intends to present his lectures in other big cities including Karachi and Islamabad apart from the address in Lahore planned for this period.

This tour looks like being a memorable one to Dr. Naik as this is his first trip to Pakistan for the last 10 years or so since 1992 in fact. On his last visit to Pakistan it was possible for him to make a meeting with Dr Israr Ahmed in Lahore.
