list of national monuments of pakistan
According to the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, there are 10 national monuments in Pakistan. There are four monuments in Sindh (all in Karachi), five in Punjab (four in Lahore and one in Balochistan). Along with that there is an additional monument known as the Pakistan monument that was built in Islamabad in the year 2000.

Ziarat Residency;
Located in Ziarat, Sibi District in Balochistan Province of Pakistan, it is also referred to as Quaid-e-Azam. The landmark is near Quetta and significant in the history of Pakistan as this is where Mohammed Ali Jinnah spent the penultimate months of his life nursed by AS Natheniel. It was built in 1892 during the British Raj.
Pakistan Monument;
The Pakistan monument is a national monument and heritage museum located on the western Shakarparian Hills in Islamabad, Pakistan. The monument was constructed to symbolise the unity of Pakistani people and was opened in 2000.
House of Abdus Salam;
The house of Abdus Salam is a Pakistani National Monument. It is important as it is the place where Pakistani Professor Abdus Salam, a theoretical physicist lived and who was the 1st Pakistani to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1979. The place is in Jhang, Punjab Province.
Allama Iqbal Tomb;
The Tomb of Allama Iqbal, or Mazaar e Iqbal is located next to the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, Punjab Province, Pakistan. It is the resting place of Muhammad Iqbal, Pakistan’s national poet.
Javed Manzil;
The Javed Manzil or the Allama Iqbal Museum is located in Lahore, Pakistan. Mohammad Iqbal, Pakistan’s national poet lived there for three years and died there. It was a tentative Unesco World Heritage site and was protected under the Punjab Antiquities Act of 1975.
Summit Minar, Lahore;
Summit Minar is an obelisk shaped structure built in the Centre of Charing Cross, Mall Road in Lahore city in Punjab Province. It was built to commemorate the second Islamic Summit Conference held in Lahore from 22 to 24th February 1974. Its foundation was laid in 22nd Feb 1975.
Faisal Mosque, Islamabad;
The Faisal Mosque is the largest mosque in Pakistan, located in the national capital city of Islamabad. It was completed in 1986 and was designed by Turkish architect Vedat Dalokay in the form of a Desert Bedouin tent.
