Heeramandi: Aftab Iqbal Reviews Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix Series

Well-known Pakistani TV Host, Columnist, and writer Aftab Iqbal gives his review on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut series Heeramandi. Aftab Iqbal is famous for his various worlds including the 2009  Dunya TV Show Hasb-E-Haal. He has written various articles for esteemed newspapers in Pakistan. He is also famous for his other TV Show on Geo TV named Khabar Naak. Aftab Iqbal is currently hosting his own YouTube channel Khabarhar which is getting a good response from the viewers. Aftab Iqbal is fond of watching artistic movies and series and he has also given his review on recently released Heeramandi on the popular OTT platform Netflix.

Aftab Iqbal has recently appeared on the Ganda Aanda program of Haseeb Khan’s YouTube channel. In the interview, Aftab Iqbal stated that he is currently watching Heeramandi and would love to talk about the series.

Giving his review on Heeramandi he said, “ These days I am watching Netflix’s Heeramandi. I would love to talk about the series. I will provide a brief information about the series. It has really good things in it but there are many flaws also. The series consists of beautiful aspects but the series could have been a memorable masterpiece if the director of the series had avoided some mistakes. I would like to talk about the mistake which the director has committed. It is a nice thing that Sanjay Leela did not release it as a movie otherwise the project could have been a disaster.”

Aftab Iqbal Focuses On Impact Rather Than Views

During the interview, Aftab Iqbal added, “ Heeramandi is getting good reviews and ratings because people like to watch such series but I am interested in the impact it will leave. Good views are not a big thing, especially for directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Sanjay Leela has done great work on the costumes but the film lacks drama. Sanjay Leela is successful in portraying a visually appealing series”.

Heeramandi is the debut of Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the OTT platform. The series was released on 01 May 2024 and is exclusively available to watch on Netflix.
