NGO World Central Kitchen expressed deep sorrow after confirming the loss of seven members in an airstrike by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in Gaza. The charity give statement that the victims who died in the attack were from different Countries. They were from Australia, Poland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Palestine. They also announced the Suspension of their Operations in the Region.

Since the conflict began in October, World Central Kitchen has been actively involved in providing food aid to the people of Gaza, distributing meals to those suffering from hunger. They have been working alongside another NGO to deliver aid via boats from Cyprus and were engaged in constructing a temporary dock.

The NGO’s team was traveling in a marked convoy, which included two armored vehicles with the WCK logo and a softer vehicle. Despite coordinating with the IDF, their convoy was struck as they were leaving a warehouse in Deir al-Balah, where they had unloaded over 100 tons of humanitarian food aid brought through maritime routes.

Chef Jose Andres who is the founder of World Central Kitchen, expressed his grief on Social media. He shares how sad it is to lose their team members. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese Condemned the incident. He is demanding accountability for the deaths of Aid Workers.

Earlier reports from the Gaza health ministry indicated that four foreign aid workers and their Palestinian translator were killed in the strike. Hamas stated that the victims included individuals from Britain, Australia, and Poland, with the fourth nationality unidentified. The Israeli Military expressed intentions to investigate the incident.

UN agencies have warned about the dire Humanitarian situation in Northern Gaza Multiple time. They also describing it as a Man made crisis. The ongoing conflict between Gaza and Israel has led to significant destruction especially in Gaza. As many people died, especially kids suffered the most. with thousands of lives lost, primarily civilians, including many women and children. They are starving badly. There is no food left, not even for animals. The world needs to stand together and stop this blood war.
