Bykea users received inappropriate and unethical messages as the app got hacked. The official helpline of the company is open to receive any kind of complaint if users are facing any issues.

Bykea is blaming a third-party communication tool for the mishap. The company claimed that the app has been restored back and posted, “We apologise for inappropriate messages sent through Bykea”.

Further Detailed Investigations

Bykea Chief Operating Officer (COO) Rafiq Malik told media that the company was further investigating with the vendor on how they accessed the API. The app is restored and fully safe to use now but still it is a matter of concern.

“Tokens have been changed, and APIs have been disabled for now. The app is safe to use now and fully functional in all cities of Pakistan.

The COO said that around 100,000 people use the app every day which has five million plus downloads on Google Play Store. Bykea is available in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore and Wah.
