Strict action against Sindh Profiteers

The Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah ordered the provincial ministers and concerned authorities to take strict action against profiteers in the Holy Month of Ramadan. Country is currently facing huge hike in inflation and rupee downfall.

The month of Ramadan is considered as the most sacred and Holy month for Muslims, but increased inflation is not allowing Muslims to celebrate this month properly. In order to ease these difficulties CM Sindh directed the Provincial officials to look over Ramadan markets and provide relief for people.

It is worth to mention here that Sindh Government recently launched a drive to control prices in the month of Ramadan. In this regard Chief Minister Sindh ordered the concerned authorities to impose proper ban on those who sell food items and goods at higher prices.

Price Control Meeting

Sindh government decided to take strict action against the shopkeepers and profiteers who are making money only by increasing prices above from normal rates. Chief Secretary of Sindh Dr Muhammad Sohail Rajput chaired the meeting regarding price control which is attended by all the commissioners of police.

The agenda of meeting was to control the prices and making sure that everyone in the province is getting relief in the month of Ramadan. Muhammad Sohail Rajput directed the commissioners to put heavy fines on profiteers and take legal action against profiteers according to the new ordinance.

According to the new directed ordinance, all the commissioners are directed to put up a fine of Rs 100000 to any shopkeeper found profiteering, all the items in the show should be sealed and sold out on government rates for the next 30 days under proper guidance.

The ordinance is made in order to provide ease and relief for public in the Holy month of Ramadan.
