Orange Line Train and Metro Bus service is one of the successful project in Punjab province offering ease in travel for public. The Caretaker cabinet of Punjab government announced free metro and orange line train rides for students in all days of week.
The new initiative is announced by Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi while leading a meeting in Provincial Cabinet, under this facility student will be provided with easy in transport and travel.

The students travelking on Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) and Metro Bus Service in school and college uniform will be able to get free rides throughout the city of Lahore. It is worth mentioning here that high authorities of Punjab have been considering this factor of providing free transport facility to students since 2022.
License Cancellation of Salt Mines
During the meeting, cabinet members on mutual understanding and facts also decided to cancel the license of 56 salt mining companies in the province. The cabient members also formed a committee to complete the process of license cancellation.
Committee will complete all the formalities for cancellation of license and grant the approval of new policy for rock salt mining procedure to make it more transparent. The members also discussed about energy saving plan.
