Pakistan’s star pacer Wahab Riaz is appointed as caretaker sports Minister of Punjab on Thursday. He took oath in governor house in supervision of Governor Punjab Baligh Ur Rahman. Wahab Riaz is currently playing for Khulna Tigers in Bangladesh Premier league 2023, he confirmed to media that he will be serving as sports minister of Pakistan’s largest province.
The 11 cabinet members took oath today in cabinet division, these ministers included Bilal Afzal, SM Tanveer, Ibrahim Murad, Amir Mir, Syed Azfar Ali, Dr Jamal Nasir, Mansoor Qadir and Dr Javed Akram. The 37 year old player a lot of matches for Pakistan in which he has taken 237 wickets in 156 international matches. The left arm bowler was also a part of national team in the time of 2017 IC Champions Trophy.

Wahab Riaz break from red-ball cricket
Wahab Riaz said that I have decided to take time off from first class cricket, after considering my performances in red ball cricket. He added that I would like to consume this time on my fitness and would love to play 50-over and 20-over. This decision is in regard to play best in re ball matches.
Pakistani national Cricket team’s captain Babar Azam replaced Wahab Riaz for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL season 8. PSL 2023 will be played from 13th January to 19th March between Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Quetta, Peshawar and Islamabad.

Pakistan’s Cricket team captain Babar Azam is also announced as best player in ICC ranking. The captain Babar Azam faced false allegations from a girl Aisha, accusing him of sexual relationships with her. The cybercrime agency investigated the case and proved the allegations to be fake and baseless.
