Pakistan reported 639 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Pakistan’s National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said that only four COVID-related fatalities were reported on the previous day. Pakistan’s coronavirus death toll is 30,291.
According to media reports, a total of 36,241 tests were carried out, 639 of which turned out to be positive. This took the country’s caseload to 1,516,789. The national infection rate was recorded at 1.76 per cent.
There are 707 COVID-19 patients in critical care in various hospitals across the country.

It is pertinent to state that 581 more people recuperated from the disease in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s recovery count to 1,468,449.
Sindh reported 570,934 cases, Punjab 503,279, Balochistan 35,403, Islamabad 134,736, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) 217,690, Gilgit Baltistan 11,598 and Azad Jammu and Kashmir 43,149.
Pakistan’s active COVID-19 caseload had fallen below the 20,000 mark, the lowest since January 11, when it was at 18,947. This number had only spiked ever since. It even crossed the toll of 100,000 as the fifth wave of the pandemic tightened its grip over the country. The coronavirus statistics declined as the wave subsided.
