
shaik rasheed impresses on ipl debut for csk
A recent match of Chennai Super Kings with Lucknow Super Giants the 20-year-old Shaik Rasheed became the youngest player to open for CSK in the Indian Premier League as he made his debut for Chennai Super Kings.
At the start of the match Rachin Ravindra and Rasheed showed their batting skill from the beginning. The young bowler played his first IPL game like an experienced competitor who tackled seasoned opposition without problem.
Facing Avesh Khan in his second over Rasheed scored three four-balls back-to-back. He repeated his offensive strokeplay when he faced off against Shardul Thakur scoring three more boundaries.
During his stand-up innings he scored one more boundary against Digvesh Rathi. He left the field in the fifth over when he swung at a short delivery from Avesh Khan and got out while trying to pull the ball at midwicket. Nicholas Pooran made the catch.
- Rasheed scored 27 runs off 19 balls, including six fours.
- CSK stood at 52/1 in 4.5 overs when he was dismissed.
