Abu Dhabi: In a significant move to help Palestinians in Gaza during the holy Month of Ramadan the UAE, under the instructions of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is intensifying its Humanitarian aid efforts. The International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council has announced expanded initiatives. They ask to focus on essential needs like Healthcare and Religious observance.
Ongoing Efforts
The new efforts continue the UAE’s commitment to help with the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza in Ramadan Month. They specifically target vulnerable groups like women, children, and the elderly, aiming to quickly and effectively assist.They tried to help the people of Gaza who were suffering badly.
Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Vision
Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is the Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, says that President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s directives shows a quick commitment to improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza. The UAE, driven by long-standing fraternal ties with the Palestinian people. UAE remains dedicated to providing continuous support through impactful humanitarian efforts.
Galant Knight 3
The UAE launched the ‘Galant Knight 3’ on November 5, 2023, a groundbreaking initiative led by the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry of Defence. In collaboration with organizations like the Emirates Red Crescent, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and others.thier mission aimed to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza. To date, 922 trucks carrying 21,000 tonnes of food, health aid, and shelter materials have reached the region.
Diverse Aid Campaigns
The UAE’s commitment extends beyond traditional aid delivery. Initiatives like “Tarahum for Gaza” involved over 24,000 volunteers assembling 71,000 relief baskets. Operation “Birds of Goodness” delivered 293 tonnes of aid and the Emirates Field Hospital in Gaza, with 200 beds and over 100 medical professionals, has provided vital medical services.

Healthcare Initiatives
In addition to the field hospital, the UAE Floating Hospital anchored in Al Arish offers essential medical treatment and support. UAE hospitals have accommodated 1,056 patients, including 545 injured children and cancer patients. Water desalination plants and automated bakeries were established to address the region’s water and food requirements.
