holland’s spider man returns in brand new day summer 2026
Sony Pictures announced that Tom Holland will appear in their 2026 Spider-Man release which they called Spider-Man: Brand New Day. At CinemaCon 2025, Director Destin Daniel Cretton first revealed the name Spider-Man: Brand New Day and the release year of 2026 during his presentation.
Before starting another project Holland recorded a video message in which he stated the new Spider-Man movie would begin anew for Peter Parker after his sacrifice in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Production of “Brand New Day” will commence during the summer 2019. Cretton showed enthusiasm about pre-production when he said, “Each day we get geeky about developing the suit system and action choreography along with building a brand new emotional roller coaster.”
The film name taken from 2008 comic storylines that brought Spider-Man’s post-2008 transformation. The new storyline builds off “No Way Home” when Doctor Strange used his magic to protect MJ and everyone else from knowing Peter sacrificed himself thanks to Holland’s character.

Sony announced that Beyond the Spider-Verse will start its release on June 4th, 2027, as part of their Spider-Man multiform franchise expansion.
