Timing of Winter Holidays for Punjab schools in Pakistan

Schools around Punjab will be reopening on 13 January after the winter break, as the Department of Special Education has issued revised school timetables to accommodate the ongoing cold snap in the region.

The administration confirmed that private education institutions that have been closed since December 20 for the winter break will resume work on Monday. From Monday to Thursday and Saturday, schools will open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 2:00 p.m.

For Fridays, however, schools will close earlier, at 12:00 pm.

Responding to the continued cold weather, the administration has also relaxed the school uniform requirements for students at private educational institutions. The relaxation will be in effect from January 13 until February 15, allowing students to dress more warmly to cope with the chilly temperatures.

All public and private schools in Punjab are scheduled to reopen on the same date, as the provincial government has not announced any further extensions to the winter holidays.
