Batting star Steve Smith entered the exclusive 10,000-run club in Test cricket by scoring against Sri Lanka’s Prabath Jayasuriya during their match at Galle. After missing it by a hair at Sydney he achieved 10,000 runs against Jayasuriya and demanding Sri Lankan conditions’ left-arm spin.
Smith became the second-fastest batter in Test history to reach 10,000 runs during his 115th game alongside Kumar Sangakkara.
