The Punjab government has kicked off the registration for the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, aimed at rewarding meritorious students with free laptops. Under this initiative, a total of 110,000 state-of-the-art laptops will be handed to deserving students, including 2,000 for minority students.
Top-Notch Laptop Models for Students
Students are entitled to receive the modern generation, i.e., 13th-generation, as well as Core i7 laptops, in view of their education and research endeavors. This Scheme is open to students of matriculation and intermediate levels who have displayed an extraordinary level of academic performance.
Who Will Get the Laptops?
The laptop distribution scheme by the Punjab government has been very solidly planned:
- 20,000 for university students.
- 14,000 for college students.
- 4,000 for technical and agricultural college students.
- 2,000 for medical and dental college students.
- 32% of the laptops would be allotted to South Punjab students.
- The program accepts students from diverse fields like computer science, medicine, engineering, social sciences, business, languages, veterinary medicine, and agriculture.
How to Apply for the Free Laptop?
Eligible students will have to register by visiting cmlaptophed.punjab.gov.pk and submitting their details.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scheme, the students must:
- Be from Punjab
- Be in the 1st or 2nd semester of the BS program in a public university or college
- Meet the following requirement for academic performance: 65% and above for Intermediate or 80% and above for Intermediate for the medical & dental colleges/universities
- Have not received a laptop under previous schemes
When Will Laptops Be Distributed?
Reports suggest distribution will commence after Ramadan 2025, probably in April or May. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has recently announced the arrival of the first batch of laptops in Pakistan.
The personal distribution of laptops in various areas will be carried out by the chief minister under the Honhaar Scholarship Program so the deserving students will receive support. need to excel in their studies.
