psl 2025 to go ahead without drs know the reason behind it
No DRS in PSL 10 Playoffs for Matches Due to Local Tensions
The Decision Review System (DRS) used in the PSL since 2017 has been non-existent since the tournament was resumed on May 7. PSL 10 was held up for some time due to border tensions between Pakistan and India. Since the resumption, there has not been a single game with DRS, and the PCB has had nothing to say about the experience.
There have been some logistical issues, and the adjustments in travel and games with the series in Bangladesh have complicated the progress necessary to put the full structure of DRS together. A match that was originally planned for Multan was moved to Lahore to help relieve the pressure on the teams and staff.
The playoffs are progressing regardless of the problem. The Quetta Gladiators defeated Islamabad United in the Qualifier by 30 runs to book their place in the Final. This match displayed a strong Faheem Ashraf whose 45-run knock combined with his two wickets helped contribute to the win. Dinesh Chandimal also weighed in with an unbeaten 48 for the Gladiators. United’s were bowled out for 179 chasing a target of 209. Islamabad can still reach the final, having to win Eliminator 2 on Friday before the Final on Sunday, May 25th, in Lahore.
