Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Emphasised the Necessity of Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey across Various Domains such as Trade, Defence, Connectivity and Culture. He Conveyed this Message during a Meeting with Turkish Ambassador Dr. Mehmet Pacaci who Paid a Courtesy Call on him in Islamabad.

PM Sharif Underscored the Exemplary Bilateral Relations between Pakistan and Turkey grounded in Shared History, Religion and Culture which he Deemed Unshakeable. He Stressed the need for Both Countries to Collaborate towards achieving the annual Target of five Billion Dollars in Bilateral Trade.

Addressing Significant issues the Prime Minister Expressed Pakistan’s Deep appreciation for Turkey’s Steadfast Support for the Oppressed People of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He also Reaffirmed Pakistan’s Unwavering Support for Turkey Regarding the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

In Response Ambassador Pacaci congratulated PM Sharif on his Re-Election and Conveyed best Wishes from the Turkish Leadership. He Highlighted the importance of Fortifying the Fraternal ties between both Nations.

PM Sharif Expressed his Gratitude for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Congratulatory Telephone call and message immediately following his Re-election. He also Extended an invitation to President Erdogan to visit Pakistan Expressing Eagerness for the Visit to facilitate Extensive Consultations during the upcoming 7th Session of the High-Level Strategic Coordination Council.
