Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has spoken out about allegations of human rights violations in Pakistan. During a Press Conference after his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, he firmly stated that Pakistan doesn’t answer to any foreign government or individual.
When asked about Discussions between Pakistanis in the United States and U.S. lawmakers concerning human rights issues and arrests in Pakistan, Prime Minister Kakar emphasized the strong relationship between Pakistan and the United States. He made it Clear that Pakistan doesn’t have to Answer to Foreign Governments or Politicians.
He was also Questioned about Recent Arrests in Pakistan especially of Women following a Crackdown on members and supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party after the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Prime Minister Kakar pointed out that Pakistan’s laws are fair and apply to everyone, regardless of gender.
Regarding the return of terrorist threats from groups like Tehreek-e-Taliban (Pakistan) and Daesh, Prime Minister Kakar expressed serious concern for Pakistan and the rest of the world. He Highlighted Pakistan’s long-Standing Fight against Terrorism and its Commitment to dealing with this Global problem.
In terms of Afghanistan Prime Minister Kakar Stressed the importance of a Stable Afghanistan for both Pakistan and the United States. He Mentioned ongoing positive Discussions with the interim Afghan Government and Pakistan’s Commitment to respecting Afghanistan’s borders.
Prime Minister Kakar also brought up worries about how India treats its minorities and human rights violations. He called for Tackling all forms of Terrorism without Discrimination including Threats from extremist Groups.
Additionally, Prime Minister Kakar talked about his Meeting with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi which Covered various shared interests.
Regarding the Jaranwala tragedy in Pakistan he Highlighted the Government’s quick Response against those Responsible and Emphasized the interim Government’s Support for the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in ensuring fair elections.

On the Economic side Prime Minister Kakar Stated that Foreign investors are Showing interest in Pakistan because of the government’s new policies. He stressed Pakistan’s Commitment to making it easy for Foreign investors to do Business in various Sectors.
In his UNGA Speech the prime minister addressed the Humanitarian Situation in occupied Kashmir, Pakistan’s Relations with Neighboring Countries and the upcoming elections in the Country.
