pneumonia claims seven young lives in 24 hours alarming situation in punjab
Pneumonia, a serious lung infection, has claimed the lives of seven more children in Punjab within the past 24 hours, as reported by the health department on Friday. In total, 764 new cases of pneumonia were recorded during this period, with one child losing their life in Lahore. 178 fresh cases have been reported by the provincial capital.
Punjab has witnessed a total of 303 pneumonia-related deaths, and over 18,000 cases have been reported across the province. Health experts points at environmental pollution which is mostly caused by smog during the winter season. This winter there was too much smog and the weather was extremely cold which became the reason for multiple health issues. its also increased rapidly and became the reason for the increase in cases and deaths.
