The Special Branch in Rawalpindi released a report about expectations of heavy rain and flooding in the district, all the emergency offices in Rawalpindi are on high alert to avoid any dangerous situation.
The regional police officer has directed the divisional superintendents of polics and other officials concerned to take appropriate measures to avert any untoward incident.

The Senior Superintendent of Special Branch police had intimated the district administration, police and emergency handling authorities to take necessary measures before hand to cope up with any situation of heavy rain.
Pre-Monsoon Rain already started
Although pre-monsoon rain had already started in the city, the authorities are concerned more about heavy rain in Rawalpindi and Attock. Emergency authorities in Rawalpindi also conducted the field survey to take measures for emergency situation.
Unusual rain is predicted to fall after the monsoon season, and glaciers may melt, increasing water flow in rivers, drains and nullahs.

Flooding in rivers, water courses, and streams is possible in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal districts due to the forecast of heavy rain with hail. Loss of lives and public property cannot be ruled out due to accumulating rainwater.
