pia announces new flights to northern areas to boost tourism
Karachi In a bid to Boost Tourism and Provide Greater accessibility to Pakistan’s Breathtaking Northern Regions Pakistan International Airlines PIA has announced the introduction of additional Flights to these Areas. According to News reports PIA’s Spokesperson revealed that these new Flights are set to Commence Shortly aiming to Enhance Connectivity for Travelers Seeking to Explore Pakistan’s Natural Beauty.
The Spokesperson Mentioned that the Airline Plans to introduce Two way Flights from Islamabad to Chitral which will begin Operations on May 18. This move is Expected to Facilitate both Domestic and international Tourists allowing them to Enjoy the Stunning landscapes and Unique Cultural Experiences of Chitral and its Surrounding Areas. Additionally PIA will Launch Flights from Dubai to Skardu on Fridays with return Flights from Skardu to Dubai on Sundays. This international Route Aims to attract Tourists from the Middle East to Visit Pakistan’s Northern Regions.
PIA’s Commitment to Promoting Tourism and Supporting the Local Economy is not New. In 2022 the Airline Similarly expanded its Operations to Northern areas, drawing Tourists from around the Globe. During that time PIA encouraged Travelers to Book Tickets in advance to Secure their Spots especially during Peak Holiday Seasons.

Meanwhile PIA has also been making Strides to Resume Flights to Europe following a ban imposed by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency EASA in the aftermath of a Tragic Plane crash in Karachi in May 2020 which Claimed 97 lives. The investigation following the Crash uncovered Significant issues with the Licensing Process for Commercial Pilots Leading to the EASA’s Flight Ban. PIA’s efforts to address these Concerns and Regain access to European Markets have included Plans to Establish Paris as a Central hub for its European Operations.
