The Pakistan Cricket Board is getting ready to announce the team that will represent Pakistan in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in India. Most of the players who were part of the Asia Cup squad are expected to make it to the World Cup team.
There are a couple of players who might not make it to the World Cup squad. Faheem Ashraf and Muhammad Haris are two of them and they might be placed in the reserves along with Abrar Ahmed.
Hasan Ali is likely to take the place of Naseem Shah in the World Cup squad. Naseem Shah got injured during the Asia Cup in 2023 and it will take some time to recover because the injury is worse as predicted.
The core of Pakistan’s World Cup team is expected to include Babar Azam, Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq.All of them are strong batsmen and Babar Azam also became the top ODI player of the series.

The squad will also have Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan as the wicketkeeper, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Usama Mir, and Haris Rauf.
Mohammad Wasim Jr, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha will also be part of the squad.
