gwadar port expansion new shipping lines & ferry service
The ministry of maritime affairs has declared a plan to start direct ferry service from Gwadar port to Gulf countries like the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman. The plan also includes the addition of several new shipping lines at Gwadar Port.
Federal Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhary announced this news during a meeting which took place in Islamabad.
Senior officials from the ministry also attended the session.
“Our goal is to make Gwadar a key player in the Arabian Sea and connect it to major trade routes,” said the Minister. “This will help both Pakistan and the whole region grow economically.”
Gwadar port is fully active now so the government is continuously working to link it to other international trade networks.
The Minister has directed all departments to speed up efforts to increase commercial activity at the port and fully use its potential.
