Pakistan cricket team made it to South Africa’s records book by making history to be the first team in the twenty-first century to conquer three bilateral ODI series following a dominating 81-run triumph in Cape Town. The visitors clinched the series 2-0 and the team has earlier triumphed in 2013 and 2021.
Though the match was more or less a high-scoring affair, it was Pakistan’s batting lineup that stood out, with Mohammad Rizwan, Former captain Babar Azam and Kamran Ghulam scoring important fifties to help Pakistan set a competitive target of 329. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah were on the rampage in the bowling department, they took seven wickets between them to make the hosts struggle for 248 in 43.1 overs.
This great achievement has put Pakistan in line with Australia as the only team to have clinched three or more ODI series in South Africa even though Pakistan has done it in only seven matches while Australia has in ten.
