Pakistan has gone to their leg spin option Abrar Ahmed today, wednesday 28/08/2024 for the second and final test against Bangladesh after its decision to play an all pace attack on a slow track in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The Pakistan national test team led by Shan Masood lost the match against the Bangladesh test team that was captained by Najmul Hussain Shanto. The fact that there was not a  single spinner in Pak’s eleven despite being playing on a slow track led to accumulation of difficulties.

The pacers were no match against the slow pitch and were leaking runs like anything. In contrast, Bangladesh spinners Shakib al Hassan, left arm orthodox and Mehdy Hasan, right arm off spin, shared 7 wickets out of 10 to make way for Bangladesh’s victory against the Pakistani Team.

Abrar Ahmed who has a tally of 38 wickets till now from 6 tests, has been added to the squad with debutant uncapped spin all rounder Kamran Ghulam. All rounder Jamar Iqbal was also called in to participate but has some fitness issues and might miss out as per a statement by Pakistan Cricket Board.

The 2nd test that will also be the final one is to be held in Rawalpindi from Friday.
