NADRA Introduces Pakistan’s First Dematerialized ID Card

The Government of Islamic Republic Pakistan has taken a huge step in the digital world as the department of NADRA introduces the country’s first dematerialized Identification Card. This means people will no longer need to carry a physical Identification ID card. Rather, they can keep their Identification ID Card on their mobile phones and use it whenever they need.

What is a Dematerialized ID Card?

A dematerialized Identification ID card is just like a normal ID Card but in the electronic form. Citizens of Pakistan can access it through a mobile phone app, making identification/verification much easier. This digital system aims to bring comfort & security to people’s lives.

How Can Dematerialized  ID Cards Be Used?

The dematerialized ID card can be used for bank transactions, government services, & daily identification/ verification needs. People will need to register on the NADRA app & identify their details. Once done, their CNIC will appear in digital form, ready to be shown whenever needed.
