Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the Sarkein Bahaal Punjab Khushhal Project aimed at Rehabilitating all inter and intra-district Roads across the Province. This initiative underscores the Government’s Commitment to Enhancing Socio-Economic Development and infrastructure in Punjab.
During a Meeting CM Maryam Nawaz Emphasised the Urgency of Repairing and Rehabilitating all Roads within Six Months, Prioritising Quality Workmanship. She also Directed the installation of Electric Weighing Machines on Roads to Enforce axle load Management Ensuring the Longevity of road infrastructure.
In addition to Completing Ongoing Road Projects CM Maryam Nawaz instructed Authorities to Assess the Condition of Road Bridges throughout Punjab and Expedite the Survey for the Construction and Rehabilitation of Bridges.
Furthermore she Mandated the Repair and Rehabilitation of over 153 Roads in Punjab including the Construction of Expressways on major link Roads like Multan-Vehari and Chiniot-Faisalabad, leveraging Public-Private Partnerships for efficient Execution.
The Meeting also Saw a Comprehensive Briefing by the Secretary of Communication and Works on the State of Roads in the Province. Notably, the Survey of approximately 7,948 km of Roads had been Conducted through the Road Right App, with an additional 2,000 km Surveyed using a Profilometer. The Condition of Roads was Meticulously assessed Based on 100 fixed Parameters.
