Karachi Stadium is Getting Ready for Legends from Across the Planet.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has approved the use of Karachi’s National Stadium for the upcoming International Masters Cricket Over 40s T20 World Cup, which will take place from 1-13 December 2025. This event is a festival of master cricketers over 40 and is being organized by the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association.

19 Matches in the National Stadium Karachi

19 matches out of a total of 56 matches will be held over 10 days at the newly renovated National Stadium. The venue was renovated before hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and is now ready to welcome the best international players again! Other venues will include Moin Khan Academy, NBP Sports Complex, Karachi Gymkhana, and South End Club. This will be a tournament with legends and will include 14 teams. During a crucial meeting in Karachi, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, along with PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan, held a meeting to discuss plans for the tournament, where Fawad Ijaz Khan stated, “14 teams will represent some large cricketing nations such as Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and England.”

Cricket Stars are Back on the Field

The tournament will see some familiar cricket stars including Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, and Abdul Razzaq. With these exciting stars, cricket fans around the world will be reminiscing with enthusiasm.

Promoting Karachi’s Sports Image

Fawad Ijaz Khan thanked the PCB and acknowledged how this event is pivotal in showcasing not just Pakistan’s positive image in the world, but more so, Karachi as a sports city. Fawad said this event is not just cricket, but about people, honoring cricketing heroes, and showing the world that we can host International tournaments of the highest level in Pakistan.
