Recent economic development in Pakistan has been publicly recognised by the international monetary fund where the IMF praises Pakistan economic reforms that have been implemented by the current leadership. In her speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva noted that the government aimed at maintaining its fiscal discipline, sustainable growth, and long-term stability. The IMF has been glorifying Pakistan economic reforms and this has continued to boost international confidence of the economic path of the country. These reforms will enhance good governance, proper allocation of resources and stabilizing the economy in Pakistan. The endorsement of this fact is that the policy choices being taken by Pakistan are starting to bear tangible fruits to both the citizens and investors.
IMF Commends Reform Momentum and Fiscal Discipline
Georgieva declared at Davos that the IMF commends the reforms in Pakistan economy since they are serious and consistent. She reported better budget control and expenditure priorities that were oriented on the welfare of the people. With IMF lauding the reforms done in the Pakistani economy, it also does not fail to note that the leadership has been ready to do tough but necessary actions. The IMF has been working in good terms with Pakistan, as the organization has perceived reforms to be a way of drawing investments and securing the long-term economic stability. Observers think that the IMF is complimenting Pakistan economic reforms, which in turn brings it closer to the long-term recovery and economic stability.
