 The International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation arrived in Pakistan. It is a significant Milestone in the preparations for the Champions Trophy 2025. It is Scheduled to be held in February 2025. The prestigious tournament has garnered attention as Pakistan gears up to host it.

Senior Manager Sarah Edgar and Manager Aoun Zaidi will lead this event. The ICC Event Operations team landed in Karachi to assess the arrangements for the upcoming tournament. Their main duty includes a thorough inspection of the National Stadium in Karachi. Here they will receive briefings from the Stadium management , like how all the arrangements are, how the ground is and about stadium security.

Security stays a top priority. The ICC delegation team is planning to meet with law enforcement representatives  so they can talk about thorough security measures. This is very important and they have given the commitment of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to ensure foolproof security for visiting teams.

The visit goes beyond Karachi, as the delegation intends to assess facilities in Lahore and Rawalpindi stadiums in the following phases.Notably, ICC Head of Events, Chris Tetley, will join the delegation during their assessment in Rawalpindi.

The journey towards hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 began with the signing of hosting rights between the PCB and the ICC in December of the previous year. This agreement was finalized at the ICC headquarters in Dubai. It shows  Pakistan’s commitment to organizing a successful tournament.

Government officials, like former Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, have promised to help. which makes people more confident about the country’s ability to hold the event safely. With support from security agencies and plans in action, Pakistan hopes to give players and fans a great cricketing experience.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 promises excitement and fierce competition, featuring an eight-team format familiar to fans. As part of the ICC’s broader strategy for international cricket. This is a huge tournament and it  represents a significant success in Pakistan’s cricketing journey.
