Nation Was Going Through A Pivotal Period: Imran Khan
Imran Khan, chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), stated on Wednesday that the nation was going through a pivotal period and that everyone needed to play a part in ensuring its “true independence” while simultaneously asserting that he never considered choosing the next army chief of his choice because appointments made without regard to merit destroyed institutions.
Speaking to attendees of a seminar titled “Regime Change Conspiracy and Pakistan’s Destabilization,” Mr. Khan reaffirmed that PML-N federal minister Khurram Dastgir Khan had “confessed” that the opposition parties had conspired against him because he planned to name Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed as the new army chief to allegedly carry out his agenda to rule the nation for the next 15 years without opposition. He asserted that he did not, however, have such ambitions because he valued meritocracy.
Former Leader Wanted To Select His Favourites
Mr. Khan reacted angrily toward PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif, alleging that the former leader wanted to select his favourites for such important positions in order to preserve his illicit wealth and looted funds.
“Not even once have I made Shaukat Khanum Hospital appoint someone on my orders. As the prime minister, how am I supposed to accomplish it?” he inquired.

Nawaz Shariff & Asif Ali Zardari Only Goal Was To Rob
Khan claimed that his fight against Nawaz and PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari, whose only goal, he claimed, was to rob and plunder, began 26 years ago.
He discussed his conspiracy theory that the US-supported regime change and claimed it only wanted to protect its own interests and not the interests of any other country. He said that he had bluntly refused to give Pakistani military bases to the US since doing so was not in Pakistan’s best interests.
I Want To HAve Good Relations With America
“Although I want to have good relations with the US and am not anti-American, I cannot stand by and watch as they treat us like tissue papers. In order to bolster India and lessen China’s influence, the US wants us to refuse to discuss Kashmir and recognise Israel.”
Pakistan Had Been Used As A Pawn
Mr. Khan continued by alleging that Pakistan had been used as a pawn in the US-led war on terrorism and questioned what Pakistan received in return for joining the US in its conflict. Washington had provided $20 billion in aid to Pakistan, which had ultimately lost more than $150 billion in that conflict.
Regarding the military operations in the former tribal areas, the PTI chairman claimed that the government made a mistake by sending troops there, resulting in a significant loss for both the region and the nation. He bemoaned the fact that everyone who opposed military actions taken against their own compatriots was immediately accused of being a terrorist.
