Covid-19 cases in Karachi

According to Sindh Health Department and National Institute of Health (NIH) Corona virus is increasing in Karachi from last few months. More than 140 new cases are reported in last five days, according to the statistics of NIH.

Six people are also tested with XBB and XBB.1, Omicron variant of corona virus, none of the patients have any travel history. The Executive Director of National Institute of Health Aamer Ikram said that all the arrangements are complete to combat the new variant of corona. However citizens are advised to adopt safety measures against the virus.

Safety precautions for Corona rise

New guidelines have been issued by National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) keeping in view the hike in Corona virus cases in Pakistan. people are advised to wear masks and avoid public gatherings till April 30.

According to the health reports, 129 new Corona virus cases are reported from different parts of the country in last 24 hours. National Institute of Health (NIH) also shared the data regarding Covid cases, reporting 2.98 % of positive cases while 14 patients are in critical condition.

The Minister said that we are controlling the situation and people are asked to avoid paying attention to rumors’. We also recommend public to wear masks in public places for their safety.
