Complete Guide: Steps to Pay Mobile Registration Tax in Pakistan

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority requires mobile phone registration through a four-step process during 2024. The first step demands registration through the DIRBS website. Follow this step by accessing the Certificate of Compliance (COC) application which requires device information input. Then, verify your IMEI number. Here is the final step which requires payment of tax through available options like mobile wallets and bank branches and ATMs. The following details will guide you through mobile registration procedures in Pakistan without complications. Below is the complete guide:-

Step 1: Register the DIRBS Account

Register for an account by providing your personal information at DIRBS website. Choose a powerful password then reconfirm it for validation. The registration process concludes after you verify your profile through email and SMS messages. Creating a legitimate mobile registration account is achieved through this step.

Step 2: Apply for COC

You need to sign into your DIRBS account where you will request a Certificate of Compliance through the system. You must access “Apply for COC” through the system to enter your device information which consists of IMEI number and brand and model details. After document submission you should wait for PTA approval of your application. The certification through this program confirms that your device holds proper legal registration inside Pakistan.

Step 3: Verify IMEI

Your device’s International Mobile Equipment Identity number can be found by pressing *#06# on your telephone. Accessibility to the IMEI can be found either through checking device boxes or settings menus. The number will become necessary for your registration process. Your mobile phone becomes authorized and avoid duplication through the verification of its IMEI number.
