He Lifeng, the vice premier of China and member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party reached Pakistan to participate in 10th-anniversary events of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The Vice Premier is on a three-day visit to Islamabad with the delegation comprising four ministers of China.

The Minister of Interior Rana Sanaullah and Minister of Planning Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal welcomed the Chinese Vice premier He Lifeng.
The Vice Premier He Lifeng is also a special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, he will meet the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Shareef to celebrate the decade of CPEC as a chief guest.
Awards will be given to Chinese companies working in the CPEC project, the visit of Chinese premier to Pakistan was extended on invitation of a Chinese government representative.
CPEC, A flagship project
He Lifeng is a prominent part of China’s International economic relations and implementation of the Belt and Road initiative of which CPEC is a flagship project.
The visit is a sign of regular high-level exchange and dialogue between Pakistan and China which shows the significance of people attached to both the countries and involved in long-lasting friendship.
CPEC is a project of advanced development, financial cooperation and economic strength to help explore new events for strengthening trade and investment ties between the two countries.

CPEC was initiated back in 2013 by Prime Minister Nawaz Shareef, the multi-billion project was designed as the flagship project covering the important part in geo-economic gains through improved regional and economic integration.
