Iconic Hollywood actor Mark Margolis, renowned for his roles in ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’, has passed away at 83.
According to reports from foreign news agencies, the legendary actor, best known for portraying Hector Salamanca in ‘Breaking Bad’, breathed his last on Thursday.
His son, actor and Knitting Factory Entertainment CEO Morgan Margolis, confirmed that Mark passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City following a short illness.
Emmy-nominated performance
With an impressive career spanning over five decades and more than 70 films, Margolis will be remembered for his Emmy-nominated performance as Salamanca – a violent gangster who communicated only through facial expressions and a bell after suffering a stroke.
The ‘Breaking Bad’ team paid tribute to him on social media, honoring his immense talent that brought Hector Salamanca to life. Mark Margolis is survived by his wife Jacqueline Petcove and a son.
