babar, rizwan drop, haris rising in t20i rankings
Pakistan T20I Rankings – Babar, Rizwan Drop, Haris Rising
Recently announced ICC Men’s T20I rankings have drastically reshaped the cricketing horizon for Pakistan. Former stars Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan both fell out of the top 10 in batting rankings while bright star Mohamed Haris climbed up. Babar Azam is now ranked 12th after falling 3 ranks, while Rizwan has officially fallen to 13th.
They had missed the recent T20I series against Bangladesh which could explain the positioning.
Something to note: While Haris was once ranked 240th, he is now ranked 30th, up 210 spots! His tremendous 107 runs from 46 balls with a strike rate of greater than 200 during the series against Bangladesh contributed to his ranking. In bowling rankings, Haris Rauf is also on the move, reaching 19th place while playing alongside some of the best bowlers in the world. Abbas Afridi has moved up 18 spots after his performances in the matches.
These movements once again confirm that the rankings are fluid and encourage emerging cricket talents from Pakistan to make their stature known on the world stage.
