Australia to tour Pakistan for white-ball series in 2026

Cricket Australia plans to tour Pakistan for a white-ball series in early 2026 that will build on the relationship between the two nations. The tour, tentatively scheduled for February – March 2026, will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is, according to the ICC Future Tours Programme.

CA’s CEO, Todd Greenberg, confirmed the tour in a recent press conference, noting how vital it is to their calendar. “There has been a lot of good communication with Pakistan, and we look forward to another series like last year,” he said. Greenberg also said how hospitable they were when Australia visited Pakistan in 2022, which was very positive after a long gap.

In anticipation of the tour, and with 22 players called to a three-day training camp for the T20I tour, the Pakistan Cricket Board called Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Mohammad Rizwan among the players and will meet on June 3. The training camp will include performance analysis and analysing plans with head coach Mike Hesson.Additionally, Greenberg said he was keen to develop a stronger Big Bash League model with more Pakistani players due to their popularity with the fans, which benefits both teams and audiences. In fact, goodwill is being shown through this very tour, which is also part and parcel of cricket diplomacy and the revival of international cricket in Pakistan.
