Another Russian Crude Oil Cargo reached Pakistan, Karachi port with discounted 55,000 tonnes of Crude oil. As soon as the berthing plan of ship is finalised, it will be docked at the oil pier.
The second cargo of crude oil between Pakistan and Russia deal was slated to arrive on June 20 but it was delayed a week and scheduled to dock yesterday. A lack of space in Pakistan Refinery Limited storage tanks was cited as the reason behind delay.

PRL Storage Refinery
Pakistan Refinery Limited (PRL) is a first domestic storage refinery to obtain crude oil from Russia under the government-led deal. Pakistan received its first cargo of Russian oil on June 12.
The first cargo of Russian crude oil carried 45,000 tonnes of crude oil. The government had placed the first order of 100,000 tonnes of Russian Crude oil in April last year over the terms and conditions deal.
The delayed cargo arrived at Egypt’s Suez Canal where it waited long queue for 12 days to cross the canal and reach Karachi port, Pakistan.

Oil industries said that PRL is currently in the process of refining the Russian crude oil to produce much-needed petroleum products first. The Russian crude oil is being blended with Arabian Crude oil which arrived a few days back.
