Pakistan and the Maldives are enhancing Pakistan Maldives relations through parliamentary engagement, with a high-level visit to Islamabad by the Maldives People’s Majlis delegation. Led by Speaker Abdul Raheem Abdulla, the delegation held talks with Pakistani parliamentary leadership on ways to enhance institutional ties and broaden cooperation in a number of sectors.
Welcoming the delegation, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with the Maldives. The visit provided a chance for legislators from both countries to exchange views on parliamentary practices, bilateral cooperation, and areas where stronger institutional links could serve broader national interests.
