Mohra: A Story of Love, Loss, and Revenge
Geo TV is adding new tears to the small screen with its first drama serial Mohra that airs tonight. Mohra is produced by 7th Sky Entertainment and written by Tahir Nazir. In Mohra, Alizeh is protagonist who is witty, funny married with a good heart and comes from a lower middle class family, living blissfully with her mother and little sister Anooshay. With all odds against them, the three of them have fought through poor circumstances with hope, and bonds of love prevailed. Meanwhile, the Hamdani family is affluent; parents Fareed and Armeen have two sons, Hamza, Sikandar and a daughter, Nimra. Fareed and Hamza elude being arrogant and prideful, but Armeen is pride unfortunately grows arrogant and creates cracks in the structure of the family that include Sikandar and Nimra.
A Tragedy That Changes Everything.
A sudden tragedy rocks Alizeh’s world and seals her destiny and that of the Hamdanis. This traumatic event pushes Alizeh into a quest for revenge. So what exactly happened to Alizeh, and how might the Hamdani family fit into this? These key questions are at the heart of the drama. Mohra also represents an examination of how ego, avarice and one bad choice can destroy many lives .T he soundtrack for the drama is great and the song “Mohra” with lyrics by Zaheer Zarf is a showstopper sung by Yashal Shahid.
