Diogo Jota made his professional debut in the Portuguese club Paacos de Ferreira where his tactical impressiveness and forward keenness did not pass unnoticed. He subsequently signed on to FC Porto before making a switch to Atlético de Madrid, where he was loaned out to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Perhaps, better known as the arena where Jota really became a talent in the Premier League. Later, in 2020, he joined Liverpool and played 182 matches and scored vital goals in five seasons. Jota played a key role in the Liverpool title success in the Premier League, FA Cup, and two Carabao cups.
At the international level, Diogo Jota received 49 caps playing with the Portugal national team and he scored 14 goals. He was instrumental in making Portugal win the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and once more in 2025.
